About
I am Mel. I ran cafes for a living before I built websites for them, which is the only reason any of this works.
Most people who build websites for hospitality have never worked a Saturday in one.
I spent more than twenty years in hospitality and owned three cafes. I know what a quiet Wednesday feels like in the bank account on Thursday. I know that nobody reads a website on a laptop at a desk, they read it standing up on a phone deciding where to eat in the next twenty minutes. And I know what it is like to be sold marketing by somebody who has never had to make payroll out of it.
That is the whole difference. When I write an email for a venue it sounds like the venue, because I have stood in that room. When I build a site I know which three things a customer is actually trying to do on it, and everything else gets out of the way.
The Service Edit is me. There is no account manager, no junior doing the build, no agency layer. You deal with the person doing the work, which is why you get a live link on day one instead of a status update.
01
A live link from the first round, not a picture of a website. You look at it on your own phone, in your own hand.
02
Anything I need from you comes as a short list of specific things. No open ended briefs, no chasing you for six weeks.
03
The site is yours on your domain. No platform subscription, no licence, nothing you have to come back to me for.
04
If something is not working I will tell you that it is not working, with the figures, rather than sending you a nicer looking report.
